Children's Group Volunteer during group time

At Wise Buys

Lydia Place's thrift shop located at 1224 North State Street is a great place to donate used household items year round and to volunteer. Volunteers, organize, price, and cashier during regular shifts. If you would like to be a Wise Buys volunteer call Arla Fowler at 734-0202 or call Teresa Josephson at 671-7663 or e-mail teresaj@lydiaplace.org

At the Garage Sale

It takes over 50 volunteers to receive, sort, and price items the week prior to our community-wide garage sale in August. Volunteers also help cashier and load purchases on sale day and of course clean up!

Leadership

Lydia Place has a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors who support the program by providing vision, direction, and fundraising. Board recruitment normally begins in the fall for the upcoming year. Community members are encouraged to participate on Board Committees. Current committees include Program Management & Development, Community Relations, Revenue Management & Development, and Human Resources.
