Housing Support Volunteer

Want to be a support for moms and children in our transitional house? Our mothers have been through some tough stuff, and need someone who can provide them with a non-judgmental listening ear. This is not a mentoring or counseling position, but simply an opportunity to walk alongside clients who need love and support. We encourage volunteers to bring an “ice breaker” each week, whether that be as generous as cooking a meal for the house, or as simple as bringing a puzzle to do with the kids. This program is set to relaunch in January 2017, but we are currently accepting applications!

Availability: Shifts are M-F, 8 AM -12 PM, 1 PM – 5 PM.

Good for: Compassionate, nonjudgmental listeners. We’re looking for people of all ages and genders.
